Summary: The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for our hourly recruitment process and fulfills staffing targets to meet the company's current and future needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruit qualified candidates based on plant needs and hiring goals, ensuring efficient fulfillment of staffing plans.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent and reduce time-to-fill.
  • Manage hourly full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, screening, interviews, job offers, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide consultative recruitment support.
  • Enhance the candidate experience to support our reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Travel locally to support off-site recruiting events such as job fairs, community events, etc.
  • Ensure recruitment practices are compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to improve hiring strategies.
  • Support our temporary employee conversion process to include preparing conversion class materials and assisting in conversion orientation to ensure a smooth transition to direct-hire status.
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation (NHO), including preparing materials, verifying paperwork completion, and supporting new hires through their first-day experience.

Requirements:

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume recruiting environment, preferably in manufacturing or a similar industry.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License to be able to travel in our company car for work events.
  • Prior experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
