Auto Body Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Body Technician to join our reputable automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair, auto painting, and vehicle restoration, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality work. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where craftsmanship and customer satisfaction are paramount. Candidates with dealership experience, MIG welding skills, and mechanical knowledge will find this position especially fitting. The position involves working with various tools and materials to restore vehicles to their original condition or enhance their appearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work
• Conduct auto painting using airless paint spraying techniques and finishing with detailing
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding (including MIG welding and soldering), and fabrication equipment to complete repairs
• Replace or repair auto glass and perform auto glass installation
• Carry out auto restoration projects, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards
• Assist with vehicle assembly, mechanical repairs, and general vehicle maintenance as needed
• Prepare estimates for repairs and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair processes
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety protocols
• Heavy lifting of parts and vehicles may be required during the repair process

Requirements

• Proven experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or related automotive fields; dealership experience is a plus
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, MIG welding, welding, soldering, and sheet metal fabrication
• Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including vehicle maintenance and automotive repair procedures
• Experience with auto glass installation and auto restoration projects preferred
• Ability to perform auto estimating and customer service duties when necessary
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
• Physical ability to lift heavy parts and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity for extended periods
• Knowledge of auto painting techniques such as airless paint spraying is desirable
• Automotive mechanic experience is advantageous but not mandatory
