Responsibilities - What you'll do

Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the MOVERS (Manufacturing Operations, Visibility, Efficiency, Reporting System) MRP system across Missouri Vocational Enterprises' 21 factories and 12 correctional facilities. Coordinate the transition from JD Edwards (JDE) to MOVERS platform while ensuring minimal disruption to the $31 million operation. Provide technical expertise, training, and support for system users while optimizing manufacturing processes and reporting capabilities.

Extensive travel is required

System Implementation & Management:

  • Lead MOVERS MRP system implementation across all 21 factory operations and 12 correctional facilities
  • Coordinate transition activities from JD Edwards (JDE) to MOVERS platform with minimal operational disruption
  • Develop implementation timelines, milestones, and project deliverables for system rollout
  • Manage data migration processes ensuring accuracy and completeness of historical and operational data
  • Configure MOVERS system modules to meet MVE's unique correctional industry requirements
  • Establish system security protocols and user access controls appropriate for correctional environment

Training & User Support:

  • Develop comprehensive training programs for MOVERS system users at all facility locations
  • Conduct on-site training sessions for facility staff, production supervisors, and administrative personnel
  • Create user manuals, quick reference guides, and standard operating procedures for system functions
  • Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to system users
  • Establish help desk procedures and escalation protocols for system issues
  • Coordinate with IT personnel and MOVERS vendor support teams for complex technical problems

Process Optimization & Reporting:

  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement through MOVERS capabilities
  • Design and implement standardized workflows for production planning, inventory management, and quality control
  • Develop custom reports and dashboards to support operational decision-making and performance monitoring
  • Create financial reporting modules that integrate with fiscal management requirements
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics tracking within MOVERS system
  • Optimize system performance and efficiency across all manufacturing operations

Change Management & Communication:

  • Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate smooth system adoption
  • Communicate system updates, changes, and improvements to stakeholders across all facilities
  • Coordinate with facility administrators to address security and operational concerns during implementation
  • Manage resistance to change and provide support for users adapting to new system processes
  • Establish feedback mechanisms and continuous improvement processes for system enhancement
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for ongoing system optimization

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as primary liaison with MOVERS system vendor and technical support teams
  • Coordinate with Administrator of Fiscal Management on system budget, contracts, and procurement issues
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience Director to ensure system supports customer service objectives
  • Work with Quality Control Manager to integrate quality assurance processes into MOVERS workflows
  • Interface with correctional facility IT departments and state technology resources
  • Participate in vendor meetings, system updates, and technical review sessions

Qualifications - All you need for success

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Manufacturing Technology, or subsequent experience in a related field
  • MOVERS system certification or equivalent MRP system credentials preferred
  • Project management certification (PMP) preferred

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in MRP/ERP system implementation, administration, or support
  • Experience with manufacturing operations, production planning, or inventory management systems
  • Background in system training, user support, or change management preferred
  • Experience working in government, correctional, or regulated environments preferred
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar enterprise systems preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with MOVERS MRP system or similar manufacturing resource planning platforms
  • Strong understanding of database management, reporting tools, and system integration
  • Experience with data migration, system configuration, and user access management
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and production scheduling
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting

Technical Expertise:

  • Comprehensive understanding of MRP/ERP system functionality and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of system implementation methodologies and project management principles
  • Understanding of data integrity, security protocols, and backup/recovery procedures
  • Experience with system testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization

Operational Knowledge:

  • Understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, and inventory management
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and integration with manufacturing systems
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Understanding of correctional facility operations and security considerations

Communication & Training Skills:

  • Excellent training and presentation skills for diverse audiences
  • Strong written communication skills for documentation and procedure development
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly instructions and processes
  • Problem-solving skills for complex system issues and user support
  • Change management capabilities for facilitating organizational transformation

Job Details - More reasons to love this position

Contingent upon your position, you may also be eligible to receive:

  • A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).
  • A $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend if you work full-time at a qualifying facility.
  • A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.

The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years
