Ascension Search Partners has been engaged by a global, publicly traded organization to identify a highly skilled Finance Manager. This individual will play a highly visible role driving financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and strategic decision support for a major business unit. This leader will guide cross-functional planning cycles, influence senior stakeholders, and ensure consistent, high-quality financial deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the development and consolidation of annual plans, periodic forecasts, and long-range financial models.
• Establish planning calendars, financial assumptions, and guidance for business unit leaders.
• Provide strategic financial recommendations aligned with performance goals and growth priorities.
• Prepare and present clear, insightful financial summaries and scenario analyses to senior leadership.
• Deliver monthly reporting packages including forecasts, KPIs, and variance analysis.
• Provide actionable insights to support operational and financial decisions.
• Lead key initiatives related to pricing, profitability, investment evaluation, cash flow, inventory, and cost management.
• Partner with senior leaders, highlight risks and opportunities, and collaborate across functions and external partners.
• Lead and mentor FP&A or decision-support team members; support staffing, performance management, and professional development.
• Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.
• Strengthen financial systems, controls, and analytical rigor; uphold corporate policies and GAAP.
Qualifications
• 5–10+ years of progressive finance or FP&A experience with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and systems expertise.
• Deep understanding of financial principles and GAAP.
• Exceptional communication skills and executive presence.
• Demonstrated team leadership and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Experience in a global organization is a strong advantage.
