Position: Server – Upscale/Casual Restaurant

Job Summary

Servers are responsible for creating an elevated yet relaxed dining experience for every guest. This role requires strong knowledge of food, wine, and craft cocktails, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver attentive, genuine hospitality in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Guest Service
  • Greet guests promptly and warmly; deliver an upscale but approachable level of service
  • Guide guests through the menu, highlighting specials and answering questions
  • Provide beverage recommendations, including wine, beer, and craft cocktails
  • Ensure accurate order taking and timely delivery of food and drinks
  • Anticipate guest needs and consistently check on satisfaction
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently

Operational Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper table settings, cleanliness, and overall restaurant presentation
  • Process payments accurately and follow all cash-handling procedures
  • Follow opening, mid-shift, and closing side work procedures
  • Collaborate with hosts, bartenders, food runners, and kitchen team for smooth service
  • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Uphold restaurant policies, grooming standards, and service steps

Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of food, wine, spirits, and cocktail basics
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
  • Strong communication and professional guest interaction
  • Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and strong work ethic

Qualifications

  • Previous serving experience in upscale or high-volume restaurants preferred/not required
  • Must be 18+ or 21+ depending on position/level of service
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and carry trays/plates as needed

Pay: $ $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
