Yours Truly Cupcake is a full-service dessert catering company located in Denver's RiNo neighborhood. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, creative team and grow within an entrepreneurial environment. We are looking for a highly organized, solutions-oriented General Manager to oversee daily operations, support business growth, and ensure exceptional service across all customer touchpoints.
Position Overview
The General Manager plays a key leadership role, working directly under the bakery owner to oversee retail operations, online order fulfillment, wedding and event inquiries, and overall client experience. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This person will supervise team members, coordinate production needs with the kitchen, maintain inventory systems, communicate with clients, and ensure operational excellence throughout the bakery.
This position is full-time; days and hours vary based on weekly business needs, production schedules, and event volume.
Retail & Online Operations
- Oversee daily retail shop operations, ensuring a welcoming and efficient customer experience.
- Manage online order flow, including processing, scheduling, customer communication, and accuracy of fulfillment.
- Monitor product availability and coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure proper stock levels.
- Maintain POS systems and manage cash handling procedures.
Weddings, Events & Client Services
- Serve as the primary contact for wedding and event inquiries.
- Provide timely communication, quotes, and recommendations to clients and planners.
- Manage event timelines, delivery schedules, and coordination with staff.
- Ensure accurate documentation and follow-through for all custom orders.
Team Leadership
- Supervise front-of-house and support staff; assist with hiring, onboarding, and training.
- Oversee kitchen and production staff
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment rooted in professionalism and accountability.
- Maintain daily staffing schedules to support production and service needs.
- Model strong communication, high standards, and a customer-first mindset.
Operations & Inventory Management
- Track, order, and maintain inventory for retail, packaging, and kitchen supplies.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the bakery and back-of-house areas.
- Support kitchen leadership in operational flow, prep needs, and sustainability of systems.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
General Administrative Duties
- Develop and maintain systems for efficiency and communication.
- Create weekly reports, sales summaries, and projections for the owner.
- Oversee maintenance schedules, vendor relationships, and supply orders.
- Support the owner with special projects and growth initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of management experience, preferably in food service, retail, or hospitality.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities; able to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Working knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- High school diploma required; additional culinary, pastry, or hospitality education is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to occasionally lift 10–50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50, $60,000.00 per year
