JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities & Engineering Manager will be responsible for the full buildout, setup, and operational readiness of AP Manufacturing's production facility. This role plans and oversees installation of equipment, utilities, structural layouts, HVAC, ventilation, clean rooms, and process infrastructure in alignment with GMP and safety standards. This individual will lead early-phase construction and vendor management and continue to manage maintenance operations and equipment validation post-launch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Plan, execute, and manage facility buildout and infrastructure projects including electrical, HVAC, cleanrooms, and equipment installation.

· Oversee permitting, contractor management, inspection scheduling, and regulatory approvals during buildout.

· Collaborate with engineering, QA, and EHS teams to ensure facility meets GMP, safety, fire code, and process requirements.

· Create preventive maintenance programs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system issues post-launch.

· Approve equipment qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ), supplier specifications, and layout optimization.

· Manage vendor relationships, procurement timelines, system integration, and repair contracts.

· Support production and QC in achieving efficient, validated equipment usage and facility compliance.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

· Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Facilities Engineering, or related field preferred.

· 5+ years experience in facilities engineering or project management in FDA, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or regulated environments.

· Experience in facility buildout including planning, construction, bidding and cost controls, utilities, and equipment installations.

· Proficiency with mechanical systems, facility layout, and GMP-related environmental design.

· Excellent project management, scheduling, vendor negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· PMP, Six Sigma, or engineering certifications (ME, EE, PE) preferred.

· Experience with e-liquid or aerosolized product manufacturing equipment.

· Background in supporting cleanroom design or ISO-classified environments.

COMPENSATION

$80,000 – $170,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Incentive Structure

This position will include a performance-based incentive program to recognize successful facility buildout, operational readiness, and ongoing system performance. The structure and metrics will be finalized as the company transitions from build-phase to full-scale manufacturing operations.
