Junior Software Developer

Acrisure Mortgage is looking for a recent graduate to join our growing tech team as a Junior Software Developer

Position Summary
We're seeking a Junior Developer who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow into full-stack developer. You'll work closely with senior developers, data engineers, and product managers to build, test, and deploy software solutions that power key business systems.

This is a learning-focused role — perfect for recent university graduates with a solid programming foundation and a desire to gain real-world experience in modern software development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain new features in internal applications and APIs
• Collaborate with team members through code reviews and daily standups
• Participate in design discussions and assist with technical documentation
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues
• Work with cloud services (e.g., AWS Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway)
• Contribute to data processing or automation tasks using Python, SQL, or JavaScript
• Follow secure coding, version control, and testing best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong foundation in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or JavaScript preferred)
• Familiarity with databases and basic SQL queries
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and web application concepts
• Experience with Git or other version control tools
• Curiosity, accountability, and willingness to learn new technologies

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

• Exposure to cloud computing within AWS.
• Experience with web frameworks such as React, Spring Boot, or Flask
• Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps tools (GitHub, Jira, Docker)
• Coursework or internship experience with data engineering, APIs, or automation projects
