Job Summary
CMC are working with a confidential national electrical contractor who is seeking an experienced leader for a Data Center Electrical Project Management position. This role oversees all phases of construction for one or more large-scale data center electrical projects and contributes to developing new business opportunities across specific clients, client groups, or geographic regions.
Key responsibilities include ensuring projects exceed client expectations, maintaining strict adherence to the NEC, internal safety policies, and OSHA requirements. The position establishes project objectives, procedures, and performance standards within the framework of company-wide guidelines.
You will represent the organization in project meetings, support strategy discussions, and assist with labor-related negotiations. The role manages all financial aspects of assigned contracts to safeguard the company's interests while fostering strong client relationships.
Additional duties include supervising the project team to ensure project delivery meets expectations, performing takeoffs, pricing change orders, preparing project quotes, and collaborating closely with senior leadership to ensure accurate tracking and financial reporting.
This position requires on-site work at project locations.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of electrical construction project management experience, managing electrical scopes valued $20M–$100M, including mission-critical facilities, ground-up builds, and major renovations
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- Data Center project experience required; hyperscale strongly preferred
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License highly advantageous
- Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of electrical estimating, budgeting, scheduling, project tracking, billing, and financial reporting
- Solid understanding of vendors and partners within the electrical construction industry
- Proficiency with industry software such as Accubid, Bluebeam, Procore, CX Alloy, BIM360, MS Project, P6, and similar platforms
- Ability to travel as needed
- Successful completion of standard background and driving record checks
