Position Overview
The licensed psychologist provides virtual mental health services tailored to women, with a focus on Clinical Health Psychology, Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy, Neuropsychological and Psychological Evaluations, and Therapy for Women.
Scope of Services
Neuropsychological and psychological evaluations
o Administer, score, and interpret a range of neuropsychological and psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, intellectual, and functional status
o Conduct clinical interviews and utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, Text Revision (DSM-5-TR) for comprehensive patient evaluations
o Facilitate feedback sessions with patients and/or their families to discuss assessment results, offer recommendations, and provide relevant referrals
o Maintain expertise in current methodologies, evidence-based interventions, and best practices within behavioral health
and/or
Psychotherapy
o Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve both the accessibility and quality of care for patients
o Conduct clinical interviews to assess patients' mental health, establishing accurate clinical diagnoses in accordance with DSM-5-TR criteria
o Coordinate patient referrals to ensure timely access to appropriate resources and specialized services
o Develop and facilitate group therapy programs designed to meet the specific needs of various patient populations
o Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, summaries, and discharge notes
o Perform risk assessments and crisis interventions, guiding patients in creating effective safety plans
o Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group psychotherapy, employing a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to meet each patient's needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals
Qualifications
Education and experience
Required:
o A commitment to ongoing professional development
o A doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) (Doctor of Philosophy_Ph.D. or Doctor of Psychology_Psy.D.)
o An interest in women's mental health
o General clinical skills in various evidence-based methods for assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and providing treatment within a patient-centered approach
o Licensed as a psychologist in Florida or in a state that is part of the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT)
o Strong cultural competence, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and to respect cultural differences
Preferred:
o Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish for evaluations and therapy
o Experience in conducting research in psychology
o Experience in delivering mental health services remotely, including neuropsychological and psychological evaluations
o Experience in clinical supervision, mentorship, training
o Proficiency in some of commonly used evidence-based modalities, including but not limited to: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
o Specialization in Clinical Health Psychology, Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy, Neuropsychological and Psychological Evaluations, and/or Therapy for Women
Technical skills
o Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and virtual session setups
o Strong skills in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Workspace (Calendar, Docs, Sheets)
o Knowledge of medical billing and invoicing
Communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to manage sensitive patient information confidentially in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
- High level of clinical judgment, ethics, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a team and efficiently engage in professional consultation
Organizational skills
o Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
o Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
Basic Requirements
o Access to a private workspace with reliable internet
o A valid driver's license
o Contractor is responsible for providing their own tools, equipment, and supplies to perform job duties, however, the practice will provide access to various neuropsychological and psychological tools and their scoring systems
o Must be at least 18 years old
o Must maintain active professional liability insurance
o Successful completion of a background check (a record may not automatically disqualify)

Pay: $ $85.00 per hour
