Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily activities within a dynamic chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will lead production processes, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and optimize operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing principles, including lean manufacturing and CGMP regulations. The Operations Manager will play a key role in coordinating laboratory activities, materials handling, packaging operations, and warehouse management to ensure seamless production flow and continuous improvement. We are also looking for someone that can develop and create new formulations in the home cleaning chemical and automotive categories.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of chemical manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Oversee laboratory testing procedures to ensure compliance with CGMP standards and product specifications.
- Manage materials handling processes, including inventory control, warehousing, and logistics coordination.
- Supervise packaging operations to ensure accuracy, safety, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and machining activities to minimize downtime and optimize throughput.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including proper use of forklifts and other handling equipment.
- Lead a team of supervisors and staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain documentation for regulatory compliance and internal audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing management within the chemical or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Familiarity with CGMP regulations applicable to pharmaceutical or chemical production environments.
- Experience operating forklifts and managing warehouse operations.
- Laboratory experience related to quality control or process validation is highly desirable.
- Background in packaging processes, materials handling, machining, or warehouse management is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead innovative manufacturing operations while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met consistently.
Pay: $75, $90,000.00 per year
