Job Summary

The Application Analyst II provides ancillary application consulting, analysis, and support related to the acquisition and integrated use of assigned applications and will assist with administering ancillary application/core system service life cycles. Participates in projects and accountable for the success of assigned tasks, functioning as an IT user contact through project completion. Assists in educating individuals both in and outside the department regarding processes related to CHOC ancillary applications and core systems, and will prepare analytics reports, making recommendations to peers, senior IT staff, and leadership. Works with minimal supervision, consulting with vendor, SMEs and IT leadership as necessary.

Pay Range

Minimum $41.47 Midpoint $54.95 Maximum $68.43

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

  • Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT or related field Minimum of 3 years of business analysis experience. Minimum one year of experience leading initiatives including translating end-user needs, meeting deliverables, providing status reports, and managing customer expectations.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated proficiency with healthcare technology including items such as desktops, smartphones, nurse call systems, and bedside monitors.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required

Training

  • Preferred:  Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Information Technology
    Service Management (ITSM)

Specialized Skills

  • Required: Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
