Job Summary: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory data and ensuring all inventory control processes are followed within the warehouse. This role plays a key part in supporting operational efficiency, reducing shrink, and delivering reliable inventory data to internal stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform daily inventory cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including quantity issues, mis-slots, and transaction errors.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Monitor inbound and outbound inventory movements to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure all inventory control procedures are followed consistently across the warehouse.
  • Support correct labeling, storage, and handling of inventory to minimize damage or loss.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, picking, and production teams to ensure accurate inventory flow.
  • Report inventory issues promptly to the Systems Operations Manager.
  • Prepare scheduled inventory reports as required.
  • Assist in preparation and execution of full physical inventories.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or inventory control roles.
  • Basic proficiency with computers, including inventory or ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
