The Programmer Analyst analyzes and develops business requirements, defines and implements enterprise solution specifications, and defines and executes unit tests that contribute to achieving organizational goals with an emphasis on the quality of deliverables. The analyst identifies, defines, and implements business solutions focused on the benefits to be obtained by business units, while establishing metrics. Works jointly with technical leaders in defining solutions in accordance with established standards and IS&T strategies. Supports and/or resolves production issues.
Job Duties:
- Analyzes business needs, documents business cases, designs, implements, and maintains software solutions.
- Estimates effort, time, and cost for implementing software solutions.
- Analyzes solutions to organizational problems using expert judgment and cost-effectiveness for Group companies. Includes, but is not limited to, third-party "out of the box" solutions, internal development, development with third parties, etc.
- Recommends changes and/or updates or improvements to existing company programs.
- Documents all solutions developed, from analysis to implementation and maintenance, including changes or improvements to existing programs.
- Provides training to new users and all users of the assigned software solutions. Documents test cases.
- Offers technical support for the use, maintenance, and operation of provided solutions.
- Gains an understanding of the business processes of the organizational units served and identifies improvement opportunities, applying them systematically.
- Assists and advises programmers while evaluating the quality of their deliverables based on best practices and organizational standards.
- Takes ownership and responsibility for proposed solutions, ensuring outcomes meet the business or operational needs and expectations of the Company.
- Complies with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for their role, both within the department and company-wide.
- Participates in projects and/or special assignments as requested.
Education & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in enterprise software development in web environments and relational database management. A combination of education and equivalent experience may also be considered.
- At least one (1) year of experience in writing requirements during the analysis phase using methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XPATH, Web Services, etc.).
- Design and implementation of information system solutions in distributed environments with high transaction volumes.
- Design and implementation of information systems using object-oriented programming languages (Java, C#), following J2EE Design Patterns.
- Experience with version control tools.
- Experience with Oracle and MSSQL databases and related tools (Designer, TOAD, SQL*Plus, Explain Plan, DTS, Integration Services, etc.).
- Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data integration tools such as DTS (Data Transformation Services) and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
- Skilled in creating data pipelines, integrating diverse sources, and efficiently handling large volumes of information in cloud environments, ensuring efficiency and security of digital processes.
- Experience with the J2EE platform and application servers compliant with its specifications.
- Up-to-date coursework in Systems Analysis and Design. Ability to self-learn new techniques and technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory, with the ability to design, implement, and optimize large-scale data processing and analytics solutions.
- Experience integrating APIs and using tools such as UnityScripts, Visual Studio, C#, etc., to develop technology solutions that enable digital communication and collaboration between applications, platforms, and services, essential for creating interconnected digital ecosystems.
- Ability to manage multiple organizational projects simultaneously with varying levels of complexity.

Plus:
Knowledge of ECM tools, preferably OnBase by Hyland, focusing on enterprise digital content management, workflow implementation, and business rules to automate processes and improve operational efficiency within the digital strategy framework.
Knowlegde in Outsystems low-code development platform.
- Experience in the Insurance Industry is preferred. Basic knowledge of the Company's business lines and products.
