Pastry Chef and Baker

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry arts, with experience in cake decorating, baking, and food preparation. This role involves creating high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation. The baker will contribute to delivering exceptional customer experiences through their culinary expertise and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
• Decorate cakes and pastries with creative designs, ensuring visual appeal
• Package baked goods for retail or catering purposes with precision and care
• Assist in food production and food handling tasks within the kitchen environment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and work area
• Follow food safety protocols and ensure proper handling of ingredients
• Support catering events by preparing specialty items as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of products to customers or event sites

Requirements

• Proven experience in pastry arts, baking, or related culinary fields
• Strong cake decorating skills and proficiency in food presentation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with food production, preparation, and packaging in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent knife skills, baking techniques, and familiarity with kitchen equipment
• Previous restaurant or catering experience is preferred
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Customer service orientation with a professional attitude toward clients and team members
