Software Engineer- MetalDev

CoreWeave is seeking an Entry-Level Software Engineer to join our Metal Dev team. You'll work on projects that enable CoreWeave's large-scale GPU infrastructure, helping to design and maintain the systems that power our cloud. This is a great opportunity to learn from industry experts and gain experience in building cloud infrastructure at hyperscale.

• Assist in developing and maintaining server management services using Go
• Help design and implement APIs (gRPC and REST) that connect with Kubernetes orchestration systems
• Contribute to automation scripts and tools that improve server provisioning and lifecycle management
• Collaborate with experienced engineers on hardware monitoring, data collection, and system reliability improvements
• Participate in code reviews, team design discussions, and cross-functional engineering meetings
• Document your work and contribute to improving internal development processes
• Learn to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in a production environment under guidance
  

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 0–2 years of software engineering experience (internships, academic projects, or open-source contributions welcome)
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, or C++
• Basic understanding of APIs, cloud services, and networking concepts
• Interest in learning about Kubernetes, GPU servers, and large-scale distributed systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Eager to learn, take feedback, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment

The base salary range for this role is $92,000 to $135,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
