About MCFA
MCFA is a mission-driven professional services firm specializing in planning, strategy, program management, and construction management for federal clients. As a trusted partner to the DoD, VA, and other federal agencies, we deliver innovative solutions that support infrastructure, energy, and installation master planning projects. Our Federal Markets division is expanding, and we're seeking a Business Development Manager who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about serving government missions.
The Opportunity
This is not your typical sales role. As Business Development Manager for our Federal Markets division, you will be a strategic intelligence gatherer, a relationship builder, and a fearless closer. You'll work alongside seasoned professionals to identify opportunities, build partnerships, and drive growth in support of federal infrastructure and planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts across federal agencies, with a focus on DoD, VA, and other mission-critical clients.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities through market research, client engagement, and strategic networking.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contracting officers, program managers, and decision-makers within federal agencies.
- Collaborate with MCFA's technical teams to shape proposals and solutions that align with client needs.
- Track performance metrics, pipeline development, and win rates—using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Represent MCFA at industry events, conferences, and federal procurement forums.
You're a high-performing professional who thrives in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment. You bring:
- Ambition & Drive: You're goal-oriented and motivated by impact.
- Organizational Mastery: You manage complex pipelines and deadlines with precision.
- Fearlessness: You're confident navigating federal procurement processes and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Relational Intelligence: You build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
- Critical Thinking: You analyze opportunities and craft smart, strategic approaches.
- Curiosity: You ask questions, seek insights, and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Resilience: You persist through challenges and adapt to changing priorities.
- Metrics-Driven Mindset: You embrace KPIs and use data to guide decisions.

- Familiarity with federal procurement processes, including GSA schedules, IDIQs, and RFPs.
- Strong understanding of the AEC industry and federal infrastructure programs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, writing and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated capability of the Sales and Capture Management process.
- Join a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business with a mission to serve.
- Work with a team of seasoned professionals who bring deep expertise in federal planning and infrastructure.
- Be part of a company that values leadership, innovation, and service.
- Competitive compensation, performance incentives, and growth opportunities.
