Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Position Overview
This is considered a full-time, day-shift position working a rotating schedule of 11-hour shifts, Saturday shifts are 7-hour shifts and there is some flexibility to the schedule. 
Sample Schedule: Week 1 (11-hour shifts, T-W-F) Week 2 (11-hour shifts: M-T-F and Saturday 7-hour shift).  

The Primary assignment is in Convenient Care, with potential coverage in Rural Health Clinic, and other community or hospital needs as required. Provides comprehensive health care to patients in collaboration with physicians and other medical staff including medical evaluation, counseling and referrals.  Assesses the physical status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examination and diagnostic test.  Interprets the data, develops and implements therapeutic plans.  Practices within the scope of practice act and in accordance with Illinois State licensure.  Position requires the employee to maintain compliance with all Rural Health Clinic department and hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

• Active Illinois NP or PA license in good standing
  

• Experience in Convenient Care or Urgent Care required. 

• Current Controlled Substance and DEA registration

• Current ACLS, and PALS certifications

• Compliance with all vaccination requirements per IDPH, CDC, and CMS
