Director of Billing

Job Overview
The Carter Treatment Center and Imagine Wellness Centers provide mental health and substance use disorder treatment servicves at multiple levels of care in the state of Georgia. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Billing to lead our billing operations and ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant billing processes. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of billing operations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement best practices to optimize revenue cycle management. This leadership role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of billing systems and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the organization's billing policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Lead, mentor, and manage any additional billing team members to achieve departmental goals and maintain high performance standards.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, compliance, and operational departments to streamline billing workflows and resolve complex billing issues.
• Monitor billing metrics and prepare reports for senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
• Ensure timely processing of claims, invoices, payments, and collections while maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the integration of billing software systems and coordinate updates or improvements as needed.
• Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies or errors in billing data and implement corrective actions.
• Stay informed about changes in billing regulations, insurance policies, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

Experience

• Experience with insurance, billing, and revenue cycle management in a senior level role in the behavioral health field is required.
• Proven experience in a senior billing or revenue cycle management role
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving process improvements.
• Excellent understanding of billing software systems, ERP platforms, and data analysis tools.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards related to billing practices, including compliance requirements.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70, $100,000.00 per year
