Position Summary

To serve our internal and external customers by managing our employees to established standards in order to provide timely, accurate deliveries while consulting with senior management on methods to improve overall system efficiency to increase company sales and profits.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees all delivery systems to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
  • Analyzes existing routes and determines future plans to increase efficiency and meet customer needs; works with location sales management to Develop and execute re-route plans based on pre-determined guidelines for selling, delivering and merchandising routes.
  • Oversees utilization of routing/planning software to ensure consistent utilization by users and maximum system functionality.
  • Communicates with customers, co-workers and employees on issues regarding delivery times, products, and problems that arise at the retailer location.
  • Manages, trains and develops employees to ensure that they are performing job duties in accordance with established standards.
  • Completes, approves and maintains preliminary budgetary information, employee performance reviews, key business indicators, hauling credits, and other paperwork according to established company policy; reviews and approves time-off requests and time cards.
  • Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g. OSHA, DOT and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local laws).
  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, customer information, employee information (e.g. discipline, wage information), and other sensitive and confidential information.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
  • Analyze existing delivery systems and software support to ensure they meet the need of each department and makes recommendations to update, modify, or implement if needed.
  • Lead and manage projects across functional departments, as required.

Education

2 Year / Associate Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Sales or related field required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Salesor related field preferred.

Experience

5 - 10 years of retail management or beverage management experience. Supervisory experience.

Computer Skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and UPS Logistics.

Certifications & Licenses

Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continuing employment.

Other Requirements

Knowledge of: retail sales and distribution environment; beverage industry; routing; product line; Microsoft Office Suite; basic financial management. Skill in: internal and external customer service; solving problems quickly and effectively; planning and organizing; training and coaching. Ability to: train, develop, manage and lead a team; work quickly, efficiently and independently; multi-task; communicate effectively with customers and other employees both verbally and in writing; adapt to change; develop and maintain good working relationships; operate a computer; delegate; problem solve.
