What you'll do...
HindlePower is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This key position is responsible for leading and executing plant-wide initiatives focused on operational excellence and waste elimination. This role champions lean manufacturing principles and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Own and lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives across the manufacturing plant.
- Plan, facilitate, and follow up on Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and process redesign.
- Develop and implement standard work to ensure process consistency and repeatability.
- Identify and eliminate waste through lean tools and methods such as 5S, visual management, and Poka-Yoke methodology.
- Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to drive improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support process standardization, layout optimization, and workflow efficiency.
- Specify and support tooling, fixtures, and equipment used in manufacturing operations.
- Provide hands-on support on the production floor to troubleshoot and resolve process or assembly issues.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement at all levels.
- Analyze performance data and trends to prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Provide coaching and training on lean tools, CI methodology, new processes and work instructions.
What you bring...
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement role.
- Proven experience leading CI or Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Technical Proficiency
- Strong knowledge of lean principles (e.g., Kaizen, standard work, 5S, root cause analysis).
- Knowledge of sheet metal and/or circuit board assembly preferred.
- Familiarity with weld, paint, and assembly operations is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with data analysis, time studies, and process mapping.
- CAD knowledge is preferred.

- Excellent problem-solving, facilitation, and project management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities across multiple departments.
- Strong documentation habits; clear, concise communication across engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Structured problem solving, ownership mindset, and attention to detail.
