Concrete Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various concrete-related tasks on commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position offers opportunities for skill development across multiple trades and is essential for ensuring the successful completion of construction projects.

Duties

• Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to ensure smooth and durable surfaces
• Set up and dismantle formwork using concrete forming techniques
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform heavy lifting of materials such as concrete bags, rebar, and form components
• Apply finishing techniques including troweling, caulking, and surface smoothing
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
• Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe construction site environment

Experience

• Prior experience in construction or concrete work is highly preferred
• Familiarity with concrete mixer operation, concrete pumping, and heavy equipment operation is advantageous
• Knowledge of rebar installation, form building, masonry, welding, carpentry (including trim carpentry), roofing, plastering, restoration, and metal stud framing is beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to work on construction sites with safety awareness and teamwork skills

This role requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking on construction sites. Candidates should be committed to safety standards and eager to learn new skills within the construction industry.

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
