Line Cook

Madbush Falls, Vermont's bike and ski basecamp in the Mad River Valley is hiring AM and PM line cooks--choose your preference One of Vermont's most exciting new culinary offerings, our team has earned over 200 5-star food reviews in its first 2 years of operation.

Evening shifts: You will work with a tight, competent crew, preparing food according to our popular recipes that celebrate Vermont. You'll help maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work together to ensure that all orders are delivered to customers in a timely and accurate manner.

Morning shifts: come run the breakfast show Our lodge guests love our fresh breakfast and brunch. You will also help prep for our busy dinner services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare food items according to recipes and specifications.
• Ensure that all food items are properly cooked and served at the correct temperature.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are delivered to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
• Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure that our high standards are met.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.
• Open or close the kitchen on any opening or closing shifts.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• ~1 year or more of experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Serve safe or food safety Certification
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Pay: $18-$24 per hour based on experience
