In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within our warehouse. Your proficiency will be crucial in maintaining efficient workflows and supporting our overall logistics operations. Safety is our top priority, and all operators must strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with order picking and put-away processes as needed.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stocktaking activities.
- Adhere to all logistics and material handling procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate movement of goods to support operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Good communication skills.
