We are actively recruiting for a Picker/Packer to join our bustling warehouse operations in Washington, D.C. This role is essential for ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently processed, contributing directly to our logistics success. You will be responsible for retrieving specific items from warehouse shelves and then carefully packing them for safe transit. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are paramount in this position. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated storage areas based on order forms or RF scanner data.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or damage before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during shipping.
- Pack orders with care and efficiency, ensuring all items are included and protected.
- Affix correct shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a tidy and safe workspace, adhering to all warehouse safety guidelines.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Communicate any issues regarding stock levels or order discrepancies to supervisors.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure the smooth operation of our logistics services.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing is an advantage, but training is provided.
- Ability to perform tasks involving regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Adherence to safety regulations, including the correct use of required PPE.
- Capability to stand and move for extended periods.
