We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team in Portland, Oregon. This role involves a variety of essential warehouse functions, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. You will play a key part in our logistics operations, ensuring that products are handled with care and efficiency. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and all team members are expected to follow strict protocols and wear the required PPE. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify contents of shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Sort, organize, and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick products accurately according to customer orders.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks, and potentially forklifts (if certified).
- Perform inventory counts and assist with stocktaking as needed.
- Wear required PPE, such as safety vests, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Assist in maintaining the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or general labor role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs consistently, standing, walking, bending, and stooping for prolonged periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and safety practices.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and utilizing PPE.
