We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our distribution center, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks, including unloading trucks, verifying packing slips against orders, stocking inventory, and preparing shipments for departure. A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail are paramount in this position. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and excellent communication skills are highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Sort, organize, and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counting.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and shipments.
- Ensure all required PPE is worn correctly at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company and OSHA safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety throughout the facility.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification a plus).
- Basic computer skills and experience with WMS are advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
