Are you a skilled and safety-conscious individual? We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store materials within our warehouse. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring that inventory is stored correctly and accessible. Accurate judgment and spatial awareness are key to navigating the warehouse safely. You will work closely with warehouse staff to fulfill material requests and support operational needs. Adherence to all company safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and forklift operating procedures, is absolutely critical. This position requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a demanding environment. A valid forklift certification is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Move materials to and from production and storage areas.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material handling.
- Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
