We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders from warehouse shelves. Your primary duties will include reading pick lists or scanning order information, locating the correct items, and preparing them for shipment. You will ensure that all items are handled with care to prevent damage and that quantities are precisely matched to the order requirements. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management is beneficial. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, good physical stamina, and a commitment to teamwork. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Your contribution is vital to our supply chain operations, ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. This role involves significant lifting and requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on pick lists or scanner data.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order specifications.
- Safely operate manual and powered pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to a supervisor immediately.
- Contribute to team efforts and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or order picking role preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
