Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. This role is crucial for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will be responsible for preparing, packing, and labeling shipments, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to established procedures and customer requirements.
  • Accurately label all packages with correct shipping information and tracking numbers.
  • Operate shipping software to generate shipping labels and track packages.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL) for pickup and delivery schedules.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including manifests and logs.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with inventory management and stock organization as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred.
  • Proficiency in shipping software and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to lifting and moving goods.
