Are you a proven leader with a passion for operational efficiency in the logistics industry? Our growing warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our dedicated team. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and shipping. Your primary focus will be on managing staff, optimizing workflow, ensuring productivity targets are met, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. You will be responsible for training and mentoring warehouse associates, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. This role requires strong leadership qualities, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. You will also play a key role in inventory management, ensuring accuracy and minimizing loss. Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required when assisting the team or demonstrating tasks. A deep understanding of warehouse management systems and lean logistics principles is essential. Compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and strict adherence to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE , is expected at all times. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage day-to-day warehouse operations and staff.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement inventory control measures.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Enforce all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Implement and monitor adherence to PPE requirements.
- Analyze operational data and provide reports to senior management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team collaboration within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics .
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant software.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workplace safety .
- Proficiency in ensuring the correct use of PPE by all team members.
