Our dynamic logistics company is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that products are stored correctly, retrieved accurately, and prepared for shipment. You will operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to load and unload goods, stack and organize inventory, and transport materials between different areas of the facility. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will be working closely with inventory management systems to ensure accurate record-keeping. Compliance with all safety regulations and company policies is a top priority. This position requires significant physical exertion, including frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking and packing.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and contribute to a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear required PPE .
