Job Summary:
Our Madison, Wisconsin facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through rigorous control processes. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize losses. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is essential. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to streamline inventory procedures and improve overall efficiency. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards, including the proper use of PPE. You will be involved in receiving, storing, and shipping processes, ensuring all inventory movements are accurately recorded. Tasks may involve moderate to heavy lifting, and you will be expected to follow safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify items for replenishment or disposal.
  • Track the movement of inventory within the warehouse.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory records in the WMS.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to manage stock.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE.
  • Assist with tasks that involve lifting and moving inventory.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in WMS and inventory management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with logistics operations.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE usage.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting.
