We are looking for skilled Forklift Operators to join our expanding logistics operations in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in the safe and efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials, and assisting with inventory management. We value Safety and efficiency, and expect all team members to uphold these principles. This role is crucial for our supply chain's success, ensuring timely product flow. We provide comprehensive training, ongoing support, and mandate the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements, utilizing scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Follow all established Safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, especially concerning Safety and the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations and meet productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of heavy items.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and WMS is advantageous.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace Safety.
- Willingness to adhere to all Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
