We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk for our warehouse located in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments, ensuring that our inventory is managed with precision. Your duties will include unloading deliveries, verifying contents, identifying discrepancies, and properly documenting all received goods. This position is key to our logistics operations, ensuring that products are ready for internal processing or distribution. We foster a culture of Safety and provide continuous training. Join our team and contribute to a smooth supply chain. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and its use mandated.
Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks and receive shipments in a timely and safe manner.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies against shipping documents.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Organize and stage received materials for efficient put-away.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the receiving dock and surrounding areas.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Assist with stocktaking and inventory control activities.
- Handle returns and forward them to the appropriate department.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse setting is beneficial.
- Basic computer skills and comfortable with data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good communication skills for reporting issues.
- Physical ability to handle moderate Lifting, up to 30-40 pounds.
- Understanding of general logistics principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety.
