Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanical equipment to move, locate, and redistribute materials.
- Load and unload palletized or packaged materials from trucks and into designated storage areas.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring efficient space utilization.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE such as hard hats, safety vests, and steel-toed boots.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment and report any defects or issues.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and stocktaking processes.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations by ensuring materials are readily available.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential. A valid forklift certification is required. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including significant Lifting up to 50 lbs. Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player. Good communication skills. A proactive approach to ensuring a safe and efficient workflow is highly valued in this role. This is a key position supporting our comprehensive distribution and logistics network in Milwaukee.
