We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is critical for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse and logistics infrastructure. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated machinery. You will also play a key role in ensuring the safety of our operations by performing regular inspections and implementing preventative maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a thorough understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. This is a vital position that ensures our logistics capabilities remain at peak performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with machinery.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the warehouse environment and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Troubleshoot issues within the logistics systems to minimize downtime.
- Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to identify and implement process improvements.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and operational disruptions.
- Support the implementation of new logistics technologies and systems.
- This role may require occasional lifting of parts and equipment up to 60 lbs.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety in all maintenance and operational tasks.
