We are seeking a motivated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our warehouse. This position is essential for maintaining smooth operations and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and staging materials according to established procedures. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount in this role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and possess the physical stamina required for manual tasks. Your contributions will directly impact our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Inspect materials for damage and ensure accurate inventory counts.
- Store materials in designated locations, maintaining an organized warehouse layout.
- Pick and stage orders accurately for shipment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding material handling tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Be aware of potential hazards and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Regularly engage in lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.
This role requires a dedicated individual who understands the importance of efficient logistics and works diligently to uphold high standards of productivity and safety. Your physical ability to perform tasks involving regular lifting and material movement is key to success in this position.
