Thatcham Research is looking for a strategic and hands on Data Delivery Manager to take ownership of technical delivery including data transformation, integration and application development.

As the new Data Delivery Manager you'll:
Lead and Inspire: Manage and develop a talented team of developers, data engineers, and DevOps professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Drive Delivery: Organise and oversee multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Develop Capability: Mentor team members, identify skills gaps, and implement training plans to build technical expertise and career progression.
Ensure Technical Excellence: Uphold coding standards, conduct reviews, and resolve complex technical challenges.
Strategic Resource Planning: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to maintain a high-performing team.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key point of contact, translating business requirements into actionable technical plans.
Champion Best Practice: Implement robust data governance and security standards across all solutions.
Skills & experience that will set you up for success in this role:
Proven experience in managing technical teams and delivering complex data solutions.
Supportive leadership skills with a track record of developing people and building capability.
Hands on knowledge of Azure data platforms (Data Factory, Synapse, Logic Apps, Functions, API Management) and DevOps practices.
Expertise in data governance, security, and quality assurance.
Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.

When we work Our standard working hours are 8:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, early finish on Friday - 8:30 - 15:45 (Talk to us about flexible working if this doesn’t quite suit you – we take work-life balance seriously!)
How we work We understand the benefits of remote and in-person collaboration and therefore have a hybrid working model – you’ll be expected to work from our office in Thatcham at least two days per week.

With an on‑site Crash Laboratory, Repair Technology Centre and Training Academy, our research expertise is driving some of the very latest automotive developments in technology, materials and standards in this fast moving and highly technical industry.
Our Gamston facility is one of the UK’s leading sites for active safety, trialling and assessing the latest crash avoidance and driver assistance technologies.
