Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Position Summary:
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is responsible for delivering a full range of anesthesia care to a diverse Veteran population. This includes preoperative evaluations, administering anesthesia, monitoring patients intraoperatively, and providing post-anesthesia care in compliance with Joint Commission standards and VA policies. The CRNA is an integral part of the anesthesia care team, working in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations and risk assessments.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
* Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.
* Monitor patients intraoperatively and adjust anesthesia as needed.
* Provide post-anesthesia recovery care and discharge assessments.
* Respond to in-hospital emergencies, including airway management and resuscitation, as part of the Code Blue Team.
* Serve as the sole anesthesia provider on weekends and holidays, with an anesthesiologist on-call from home (must arrive within 45 minutes if needed).
* Work cooperatively with on-call anesthesiologists during surgeries and emergency procedures.
* Maintain patient confidentiality and a safe, compliant care environment.
* Establish and maintain effective communication and professional relationships with all levels of staff.

Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia educational program.
* Current, unrestricted RN and CRNA licensure.

Pay: $119.87 - $160.48 per hour
