Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Manage stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Ensure accurate recording of all inventory movements in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor and report on inventory accuracy metrics.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend actions.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to improve inventory processes.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and promote a culture of safety, including the correct use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the logistics or distribution industry is highly preferred.
