Are you passionate about precision and organization? We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory in Columbus, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of our stock data. Your expertise will directly support our logistics operations, ensuring that we have the right products in the right place at the right time. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all inventory movements in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Monitor and report on inventory accuracy metrics.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend actions.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to improve inventory processes.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations and promote a culture of safety, including the correct use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the logistics or distribution industry is highly preferred.
