Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a pick list or scanner.
- Retrieve merchandise from various warehouse locations.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details.
- Select appropriate packaging materials for different types of products.
- Pack items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Label all packages correctly with shipping information.
- Perform quality checks on picked and packed items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed daily productivity goals for picking and packing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or packing role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long durations.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE in a logistics setting.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Team-player attitude with good communication skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
