Join our vibrant team as a Receiving Clerk in Tampa, Florida! We are seeking meticulous and organized individuals to manage the inbound flow of goods into our warehouse. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and meet quality standards. This role is fundamental to our inventory management and logistics operations. You will work closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and management to ensure a smooth and efficient receiving process. A strong commitment to accuracy and safety is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label inventory appropriately.
- Organize and stage received materials for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams regarding receiving status.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs) as needed.
- Understanding of warehouse safety and logistics principles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
