Our Raleigh, North Carolina facility is seeking an organized and reliable Shipping Clerk to manage our outgoing shipments. This role is vital to ensuring that our products reach our customers accurately and on time, directly impacting our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for picking and packing orders, verifying order accuracy, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers for timely pickups. You will play a key part in maintaining a streamlined shipping process and ensuring all documentation is accurate. A commitment to safety is paramount, and you must adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position involves regular lifting and moving of packages. We are looking for individuals with excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests and documentation.
- Prepare and affix shipping labels to packages.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and manage logistics.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping department area.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts in the shipping area.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with common shipping carriers and logistics software.
- Understanding of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
