We are hiring for a proactive Distribution Center Associate in our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility. This role is essential to the efficient flow of goods through our distribution network. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in a variety of warehouse functions, including picking and packing orders, loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Your responsibilities will also encompass operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring that all tasks are performed with the highest regard for safety and operational standards. A key aspect of this role is understanding and adhering to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires the ability to handle significant lifting throughout the shift. The logistics of our distribution center depend on the dedication and efficiency of our associates. Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Load and unload trailers accurately and efficiently.
- Receive, verify, and stock incoming inventory.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Commitment to following all safety regulations and using PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
