We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics center in Miami, Florida. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting stock and materials within the warehouse. Your expertise in operating forklifts will ensure the smooth flow of goods throughout our facility, supporting various warehouse operations. This position demands a strong commitment to safety, precision, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to manage inventory, load and unload trucks, and maintain an organized and secure working environment. This is a key position within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move pallets, materials, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Accurately record the movement of goods within the warehouse management system.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure operational safety.
- Stack and organize inventory in a neat, orderly, and safe manner.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and adherence to operating procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse workflow and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and practices.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain required PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
