We are searching for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This includes conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, maintaining inventory records, and implementing procedures to minimize stock loss. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing stock levels, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the overall logistics strategy of our distribution center. We are looking for an analytical individual with a strong understanding of inventory management systems and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of accuracy and safety. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a dedication to continuous improvement within our supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure proper storage conditions.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and generate reports.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce errors and shrinkage.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- May require occasional lifting and movement of materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
