We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our bustling distribution center in Sacramento, California. This position is vital to the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials. You will ensure that inventory is managed correctly, assist with order fulfillment, and maintain a clean and organized work area. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a proven track record of safe forklift operation are essential. This role demands precision, vigilance, and a commitment to upholding our rigorous safety standards. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, contributing to the smooth functioning of our entire supply chain. - Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and safely.
- Stack and stage inventory accurately in designated areas.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
- Be aware of surroundings and potential safety risks in a busy logistics setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
