We are hiring a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our vibrant logistics team in Miami, Florida. This specialized role focuses on the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating reach trucks, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that inventory is stored correctly, retrieved accurately, and that all warehouse operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve materials and inventory.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Ensure accurate placement of inventory in designated racking systems.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report any issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to warehouse layout standards.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and physical inventories as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Adhere to all logistics and operational procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding material movement and inventory status.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, including the importance of PPE.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
