We are seeking dedicated and energetic Warehouse Associates to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will contribute to the efficient operation of our warehouse, handling a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. As a Warehouse Associate, you play a crucial part in our logistics network, ensuring that products move smoothly through our facility and reach their destinations. Your daily activities will involve receiving incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality, stocking shelves, accurately picking orders, and preparing items for dispatch. This position requires you to be on your feet for extended periods, perform frequent bending, stooping, and reaching, and engage in moderate to heavy lifting , often exceeding 50 pounds. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace safety ; you must follow all established safety guidelines and protocols rigorously, including the mandatory use of PPE such as safety vests, gloves, and eye protection. Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock merchandise onto shelves and into designated storage areas.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
- Prepare shipments for delivery, including labeling and staging.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE at all times.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Support the overall logistics flow of the warehouse.
- Perform regular lifting of items, potentially exceeding 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to perform sustained physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Capability for frequent lifting of items up to and exceeding 50 pounds.
- Understanding of basic warehouse and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
